Being part of this Zoom room is the next best thing to actually being in the Oscars Media Room in person. The Academy’s press team went above and beyond to accommodate the media members while also handling the talent behind the scenes. They seamlessly brought in winner after winner while selecting different outlets to ask questions and gave a good amount of reporters a chance to ask questions. Even when some outlets were unprepared or were caught off guard, they worked through it. The moderator called on people randomly, without warning, and if the reporter wasn’t paying attention, they’d miss their turn. Another reporter interrupted my time slot with Kaluuya, but the team was quick to bring it back to me. They also did a great job at allowing most of the attendees the opportunity to ask at least one question. That’s no easy task, but they got it done.
