10 Items or Less is a partly scripted, partly improvised American comedy series that centers around a family-owned supermarket and the crew of weirdos that work there. The wacky group has it all: a down on his luck business-owner who returned home to work at the store, a stock boy who is actually a balding adult male, a cashier who dreams to be a professional ice skater, and so many others. It’s the perfect combination of goofy and heartfelt that will make you laugh while simultaneously rooting for this lovable crew of underdogs.

Imagine all the action and adventure of a comic book, but instead of superheroes, the lead characters were all ordinary people. That is essentially what Heroes is. The sci-fi series tells the tale of average guys and girls who discover their superhuman abilities. Throughout the show their lives intertwine in order to prevent a devastating event from occurring, providing a fresh take on the superhero genre that is packed with enough stylish cinematography to keep you watching episode after episode.

Happy Endings follows the wacky adventures of six best friends living in Chicago. The dysfunctional group of pals help each other through the complexity of modern life—that means cringeworthy dates, an awkward divorce, and the other undesirable aspects of being an adult. Above all, the show is a great reminder that good friends are always there to help you get through the tough—and occasionally absurd—events in your life.

Legendary comedian Jerry Seinfeld doesn’t have many misses. He has decades as one of the biggest stand-up comedians and perhaps the most successful television show of all time to his name. Sure, he also made the flops Bee Movie and The Marriage Ref, but luckily, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee is a bonafide hit. The show is jam-packed with vintage cars, funny conversations with fellow comics, and plenty of that trademark Seinfeld charm. If you like cars or comedy, this show is definitely for you.

Buckle up because you’re in for a wild ride with this one. The Shield follows a rogue cop (played by Michael Chiklis) in a new experimental division of the Los Angeles Police Department. He isn’t your average cop, though—he does whatever it takes to fight against the criminals he faces. In his mind, he’s just bringing justice to an unpredictable world, but in reality, he’s a loose cannon who doesn’t abide by the laws he was sworn to uphold.

Before Steve Harvey became a daytime talk show host and living internet meme, he was a successful comic who starred on his eponymous sitcom, The Steve Harvey Show. In the show, he plays a past-his-prime musician who now works as a vice-principal and music teacher at a high school on Chicago's West Side. There is plenty of adolescent tomfoolery and wisecracking jokes to make this show worth sampling.
