Kim Kardashian had multiple ready-for-headlines talking points to get through on Tuesday’s Today show, including her recent vacation with Pete Davidson.

“I would say the best way to describe it was just really relaxing,” Kardashian told Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie when asked about her and Davidson’s recent excursion together. “Like, to be away from four kids for just even a few days is heaven. I love my kids, but, you know.”

Kardashian was then asked about how she came to a decision on when to introduce her children to Davidson, as well as how much she wanted to share with them regarding the relationship in its earliest days. According to Kardashian, she consulted family and friends, as well as multiple therapists, before landing on a six-month period of waiting.

“Luckily, I have a sister who has been through it all and we talked about it and I consulted with a few therapists and friends that have been through it,” she said around the 1:30 mark in the video above. “So I definitely wanted to wait six months and that was, like, the marker. I think it’s different for everyone and different things work for different people but you just have to do what feels right and try to just be as respectful and cautious as possible.”

Over the weekend, Kardashian shared a special Father’s Day message for the artist formerly known as Kanye West, calling her former partner “the best dad to our babies.” Addressing this during her Today appearance on Tuesday, she said things are currently “going good” between her and Ye.

Inevitably, the topic of a certain Marilyn Monroe dress (not to mention subsequent claims of alleged damage to the dress) was also broached. As previously reported, a representative for Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Shared comments with TMZ breaking down the care with which the dress was handled when Kardashian wore it to the Met Gala earlier this year. Per Ripley’s, the dress was indeed returned in the “same condition” after being borrowed.

Asked Tuesday whether there was any truth to the damage allegations, Kardashian said there wasn’t.

“We worked together so well,” she said of the Ripley’s team. “There were handlers in gloves that put it on me.”

Kardashian also opens up about having lost 16 pounds to fit into the historic dress, crediting the process for having taught her “a lot” about her personal health. Currently, she added, she’s feeling “more energy than ever” and has “completely changed” her lifestyle.
