Rakim is back with the new song “King’s Paradise,” which premiered on season two of Marvel’s Luke Cage.

Produced by Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad, “King’s Paradise” is a homage to the greats who have come from Harlem—among the people Rakim names are Louis Armstrong, Lena Horne, and Malcolm X—and to the show’s star player, Luke Cage. In the series, Rakim performs the song to a packed crowd, at the fictitious nightclub Paradise.

The classic Eric B. & Rakim song “I Ain’t No Joke” also popped up as the soundtrack to the season two announcement trailer earlier this year.

Luke Cage is now streaming on Netflix. Check out Rakim’s performance of “King’s Paradise” above.
