If you were worried because the television series-adaptation of Bad Teacher hadn't yet been announced as part of CBS's fall schedule, fret no longer - they were just messing with us. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series has been given a very last minute pick-up by the network, and is officially set to premiere sometime this coming 2013-14 season.
As previously reported, the series was created by former Community co-executive producer Hilary Winston, and stars Ari Graynor as a "hot, confident, unapologetic former trophy wife Meredith Davis, who becomes a teacher to find a new man after her husband leaves her without a dime." It bears some resemblence to the 2011 film which starred Cameron Diaz, of course - mostly as both Diaz's character Elizabeth in the film and Graynor's character Meredith in the series are one in the same - but there's no direct correlation.
Veronica Mars star Ryan Hansen also appears in the series, alongside Sex and the City star Kristin Davis.
