Stephen Elop, president and CEO of Nokia, sat down with Walt Mossberg at the D9 conference last night. Nokia has been in the news a lot recently due to its massive partnership with Microsoft's Windows Phone 7, and Elop took the opportunity to shoot down one recent rumor in particular: Nokia has no plans to sell Microsoft its handset division. He also talks about how America's flip-phone fad from 2004-2007 caused the once dominant manufacturer to effectively abandon the region, and says the company is planning an aggressive reentry into the market with first Windows Phone 7 Nokia devices targeted for release in the fourth quarter of this year. Check out the meat of the conversation in the video above.
