Something was off about Kris Humphries from the beginning. That is, of course, if you listen to Khloe Kardashian. She says the first time she met him it was late at night, and she'd just arrived in New York.
“[Kim and Kris had] just started dating," the she told Jay Leno last night. “One of the first things that came out of [Kris’] mouth— like within the first five minutes— was, ‘So, how much are you getting paid to fake your marriage [to Lamar Odom]? Like how long are you gonna keep this up for?'"
His line of questioning— direct and abrasive for the first time meeting someone— seemed to throw Khloe off, and from then on she was cautious of him.
“I was like, ‘Dude, I don’t know if you’re trying to make me laugh?’ It just rubbed me the wrong way,” she said. “So, ever since then, I had a very defensive wall brought up. I’m a very good judge of character, if I do say so myself, and he just rubbed me the wrong way initially.”
Khloe told Kim before she wed Humphries that things weren't right.
"I said it before they got married," Khloe continued. "I said how I felt. I love my sister and will support her no matter what. But I'm also going to be a good sister, and say this is how I feel: 'I'll still come to your wedding and do whatever you want me to do,' but I can’t lie and say 'Oh this is perfect' if I feel in my heart I just didn’t agree with it."
