It's a holiday weekend. For many that means feasting on too much turkey on Thanksgiving, running to the mall on Black Friday, or just catching up with some old friends. But others might want to take the opportunity to sink into their couch and binge watch some movies and television shows.

Sure, there are always the go-to programs on streaming services that never fail—Hulu has the cult-favorite '90s sitcom Seinfeld and the launch of Disney+ earlier this month has provided a near endless catalog of movies from Toy Story to Avengers: End Game—but maybe you're looking for something a little more specific.

The world of fashion has provided some excellent documentaries over the years. Some give an inside look at the creative process of these big name designers, while others tell the story of the ongoing relationship between hip-hop and fashion. Even if you aren't heavily into the style world, these are worth taking the time to watch.

Whether you love vintage '90s clothing, or haute couture from legendary names like Raf Simons and Alexander McQueen, we got you covered. Here are 10 things to watch over Thanksgiving break if you're into fashion.

Abstract: The Art of Design is a Netflix series that takes a look at some of the biggest names in various design fields ranging from illustration to architecture. While all these episodes are great in its own right, the episode you have to watch first is the one on the legendary footwear designer Tinker Hatfield. For those who don't know, Hatfield is responsible for designing some of the most iconic silhouettes in the history of sneakers like the Nike Air Max 1, Nike Air Huarache, Air Jordan III, Air Jordan XI, and more. The in-depth conversations with the man himself give insight into his design inspiration, how his process has evolved over the years, his work on current projects (as of 2017), and more. For sneaker fans especially, this is a must watch.

From his design sessions to the day the collection hits the runway, this is an amazing behind the scenes look at how one of the most revered designers in fashion works. If you only know Simons for his ready-to-wear eponymous label, more recent work with Calvin Klein, or simply as the guy who designs the clothes that ASAP Rocky loves to wear, this offers a whole new perspective on Raf as he tries to live up to Christian Dior's iconic legacy.

Released in 2017, Dries explores the Belgian fashion designer behind his eponymous label, Dries Van Noten. Van Noten has been designing incredible collections for over three decades, but many people might be familiar with the brand as a favorite among some of rap's best dressed like ASAP Rocky and Kanye West. This documentary gives a more in-depth look at the man behind all of the incredible garments with original interviews from fashion icon Iris Apfel, behind the scenes footage at runway shows, a look into Van Noten's home life, and more over the course of an entire year.

The worlds of hip-hop and fashion are synonymous. Everyone knows that. Fresh Dressed explores the relationship between both cultures with commentary from the most stylish rappers of all time like Kanye West and Pharrell; and major figures like Diddy, Dapper Dan, Riccardo Tisci, and more. The whole timeline of hip-hop's relationship with fashion is explored here including the B-Boy era of Adidas tracksuits and Kangol hats, the dominant influence of brands like Polo and Tommy Hilfiger in the late '90s, and the current relationship that hip-hop has with streetwear and luxury fashion.

So maybe this is a bit of a shameless plug, but Complex's Horse Power that released in 2018 is worth the watch. The 40-minute documentary examines the impact that hip-hop had on Polo Ralph Lauren from the late '80s all the way to the present day. It does so with a detailed look at the Lo Lifes, a part of Polo's cultural timeline often skimmed over in other programming about the iconic brand. The film features orginal interviews with Dapper Dan, Tyson Beckford, DJ Clark Kent, Raekwon, Fonzworth Bentley, Young Dro, and original members of the Lo Lifes such as Thirstin Howl III and Rack Lo.

Originally released in 2015, this documentary tells the story of one of the most polarizng designers in fashion, Jeremy Scott. Featuring interviews with the man himself, his parents, ASAP Rocky, Katy Perry, and more, the documentary looks back on his humble upbringing in a rural town in Missouri and his well-known collaborative work with Adidas. It primarily focuses on the days leading up to his first runway show as the creative director of Moschino at Milan Fashion Week in 2014. Whether you are a personal fan of Scott's loud designs or not, this is still an interesting look at one of the biggest names in fashion today. It also provides a brief history lesson on Franco Moschino's Italian fashion house that lends context to Scott's design choices.

Nowadays, Steve Madden is more of a punchline than anything else. The brand is infamous for making men's shoes that mimic popular styles like the Balenciaga Triple S, Off-White x Air Jordan I, and countless others at a more affordable pricepoint. However, back in the '90s, Steve Madden was one of the most popular women's footwear brands in the world back. This 2017 documentary tells how the company became a billion dollar empire, and how it imploded from his involvement in a financial scandal with Jordan Belfort (remember that subplot in Wolf of Wall Street?), and its current standing today.

While at times emotional—the film touches on the designer's personal demons—it is still worth the watch.

Where to Watch: Disney+

Disney+ has only been around for a couple weeks, but it's already a heavyweight in the streaming service game. Not only does it allow us to take a trip down memory lane with a seemingly endless library of nostalgic television shows and movies, but it also boasts some solid original programming. One of those programs is National Geographic's The World According to Jeff Goldblum. In the first episode, the popular actor decided to learn more about today's style. While Goldblum has proven to have an affinity for brands like Prada and Saint Laurent, he isn't the biggest sneaker guy. In the premier episode, he chats with popular sneaker YouTuber Jacques Slade, visits the Adidas design lab, gets a one-of-one pair of sneakers created for him by The Shoe Surgeon (aka Dominic Chambrone), and more.

Slobby's World

If you are into vintage gear, Slobby's World is the choice for you. The Netflix series follows owner of Generation Cool, Slobby Robby (aka Robert Hall), and his team of employees throughout their day-to-day experience at the Tucson, Arizona, shop specializing in '80s and '90s vintage product. Whether he is out thrifting for new product to stock at the store, selling a vintage MCM backpack to a customer, visiting his friends at Round Two Los Angeles, or checking out important items from the Tommy Hilfiger archive in New York City, there is something that will peak your interest if you are into retro clothes. The best part is that there aren't a ton of episodes, so if you get hooked it won't be hard to binge through it over the long weekend.
