The first Luigi's Mansion was a purely single-player game, and before now, we had no reason to believe that its sequel on 3DS would be any different. But Nintendo's official Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon website page tells a different story.
"With so many new places to explore, all new ways to capture ghosts, and a brand new local multiplayer mode, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon is another star turn for Mario's heroic brother—and it's only on Nintendo 3DS," reads the site.
Well that's interesting. The sidebar still says that the game only supports one player, though, so this could be a simple mistake. Besides, what kind of local multiplayer is possible on 3DS? Either way, we're eager to learn more.
