In November, George Zimmerman found himself in trouble with the law once more after he assaulted his pregnant girlfriend and threatened her with a shotgun. Though Samantha Scheibe eventually asked for the charges against him to be dropped, video of her interview with police provides a disturbing look into life with Zimmerman.
The 31-minute video, which Mother Jones first addressed after it was leaked by ZimmermanVerdict.net, shows the 27-year-old telling Seminole County Sheriff's Deputy Stephen LaGuardia about Zimmerman's love for guns and tendency for violent behavior. This wasn't the first time he got violent with her, either:
That last line is the most troublesome of the conversation: Scheibe acknowledges that Zimmerman somehow manages to side-step the consequences of his actions. She knows he's guilty, she just figures he'll somehow always emerge unscathed. Either that, or she lives in fear of him. Perhaps that's why she dropped those charges.
