Authorities in New Jersey arrested a man after discovering 80 pounds of marijuana candy inside of the vehicle. Truth be told, that might've been the most tame discovery.
The New York Daily News reports that 22-year-old Brooklyn resident Samuel Bompane was caught speeding by New Jersey State Police in Brick Township, N.J. last week. They began chasing him, but stopped when he drove through a construction zone. Bompane eventually struck another vehicle, causing it to flip over.
Inside of his vehicle, police found the 80 pounds of weed candy, as well as upwards of 10 pounds of marijuana, cocaine, ecstasy, prescription drugs, hash oil, and assorted drug paraphernalia. The total drug haul is valued at over $100,000, and $35,000 in cash was also recovered.
Bompane was arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute an array of drugs, aggravated assault with a vehicle, and driving while intoxicated. The 42-year-old woman who was driving the car he hit was hospitalized with a broken arm.
