A Georgia high school senior's extreme nerdiness might result in her being banned from her graduation, all due to the clever arrangement of her yearbook quote.

Paris Gray is the vice president of Mundy's Mill High School's senior class. Because she clearly paid attention during chemistry class, Gray chose this quote for the Clayton County, Ga. school's yearbook: "When the going gets tough just remember to Barium, Carbon, Potassium, Thorium, Astatine, Arsenic, Sulfur, Uranium, Phosphorus."

For everyone who slept through chemistry in high school, that translates to "When the going gets tough, just remember to back that ass up." Walter White would be proud.

While this is more than likely a nod to Juvenile's OG twerk anthem, Gray claims there's a deeper, more yearbook-appropriate meaning: "Basically, it was me just saying start all over again," she insists. "You have to go back and start all over."

Right. Anyway, school officials were not pleased with Gray's use of the periodic table, so not only was she given an in-school suspension, she was barred from participating in the senior walk and may have to sit graduation out. Her mother, Zarinah Woods, has the right attitude about the situation: "My first reaction was, you are such a nerd." Exactly.

The school hasn't made a final decision yet and Gray's mother is scheduled to meet with the principal and superintendent today, but banning this girl from graduation seems a bit extreme, especially considering the fact that the words "back that ass up" never actually appeared in the yearbook.

She was supposed to speak at graduation and is clearly a model student, so lighten up. Compared to this, Gray's quote is tame.
