Police in New York City have arrested the man who allegedly defaced a Sep. 11 memorial located in Brooklyn's Coney Island section.
CBS New York reports that 58-year-old Elliot Baez smeared white paint over the Brooklyn Wall of Remembrance early Friday morning. The memorial honors several NYPD officers, firefighters, Port Authority officers and a dog who died that day. The Daily Intelligencer adds that Baez seemed to focus on three specific emergency responders, particularly Officer Moira Smith.
