The cameraman who contracted the Ebola virus while doing freelance work for NBC in Liberia has tested negative for the disease.
In a series of tweets, Ashoka Mupko revealed that three tests had returned negative:
Just got my results. 3 consecutive days negative. Ebola free and feeling so blessed. I fought and won, with lots of help. Amazing feeling

The knowledge that there's no more virus in my blood is a profound relief. I'm so lucky. Wish everyone who got sick could feel this.

The 33-year-old had been recovering at Nebraska Medical Center since arriving via plane on Oct. 6. In a brief hospital statement, he expressed gratitude while also acknowledging how fortunate he is to have recovered:
Recovering from Ebola is a truly humbling feeling. Too many are not as fortunate and lucky as I've been. I'm very happy to be alive.
