Mere days after summoning the National Guard to deal with protests in Ferguson, Mo. following unarmed teenager Michael Brown's death, Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon has asked them to leave. Brown, 18, was shot and killed by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson on Aug. 9.

ABC News reports that Nixon is ordering their exit due to what he called continued "improvement" in the relationship between law enforcement and demonstrators within the St. Louis suburb. Last night was relatively quiet, and this came two days after he lifted the midnight curfew imposed last weekend.
