Michael Brown's funeral will be held in St. Louis tomorrow morning, and the 18-year-old's father is asking that protests cease on the day his son is laid to rest. Brown was unarmed when he was shot and killed by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson on Aug. 9.
According to Salon, Michael Brown Sr. said he "would like for no protesting going on" during a conversation with St. Louis' Hot 104.1 FM this morning. "We just want a moment of silence that whole day. Just out of respect for our son."
The service will be held at Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church, which Salon notes has arranged seating for 4,500 guests.
