According to authorities, a man who helped a woman who just slipped on ice did the kind thing and proceeded to rob her.
The robbery took place around 3:30 a.m. Saturday morning when the 23-year-old woman slipped on some ice after exiting a building near Union Square. The man, who happened to be right there, came running to her assistance and helped her to her feet. Just as she was about to thank him, he ordered her to hand over her possessions and stole her ID, a MetroCard and $50 in cash.
The New York Post said the man sprinted down East 15th Street before hitting North Broadway vanishing.
