A teacher at a secondary school in Wales was sentenced to three-and-a-half years behind bars for running a $1.5 million cocaine lab out of his home.
Macphallen Kuwale, an IT teacher at Coleg Cymunedol Y Dderwen in Bridgend, conducting the illegal opeartion out of his Cardiff home in addition to dealing on the street. Police in South Wales say he amassed hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cutting agents and a pressing machine to craft a more advanced product, endearing himself to customers on some Walter White shit.
In another nod to Breaking Bad, he had an official "business phone," and set up deals via text using the name "Mac." The alias is so crucial, especially when you have a day job.
Unsurprisingly, Kuwale has lost his teaching license, getting banned from the practice for life despite being given 28 days to appeal the ruling. Perhaps when he gets out of jail he can arrange some speaking engagements, or perhaps even write a book. As wrong as his actions may have been, his story is worth telling.
