Officials at JFK International Airport have once again thwarted an ineffective smuggling attempt.
New York Daily News reports that 49-year-old Julio Rivera-Hernandez had just arrived on a flight from El Salvador last Friday when he was stopped for inspection. Upon noticing how nervous he appeared, Customs and Border Protection agents began pressing him for answers—like why he was carrying 32 heroin packets inside of a powdered milk box? According to the Daily News, the drugs are worth an estimated $140,000.
Rivera, who's learned nothing from those who have failed before him, faces drug smuggling charges.
