Investigators in France have determined that the co-pilot of Germanwings Flight 9525 accelerated the plane prior to its crash last month. The tragedy killed all 150 people aboard the plane.
According to Reuters, France's Bureau of Investigations and Analyses revealed that the plane's second black box had been recovered yesterday. The device's recordings reportedly confirm investigators' belief that Andreas Lubitz intentionally crashed the plane:

A first reading shows that the pilot in the cockpit used the automatic pilot to put the airplane on a descent toward an altitude of 100 feet, the BEA investigation office said in a statement.
Then several times the pilot modified the automatic pilot settings to increase the speed of the airplane as it descended, it added.

Information from the plane's other recorder implied that Lubitz locked the plane's captain out of the cockpit before the crash. This news also comes in the wake of German prosecutors' revelation that Lubitz researched suicide methods and plane security measures about a week before the accident.
