Authorities say a Queens resident was decapitated while trying to cross the Grand Central Parkway on Friday.
According to Gothamist, the NYPD said that Fidel Vidal Diaz, 31, crossed from north to south around 11:30 p.m. Friday night. However, after making it to a median, he was hit by 2005 Mustang, then a 2002 Volkswagon.
Both drivers stayed at the scene, and police determined that the incident was not of a criminal nature. In the interim, investigators are still trying to figure why Diaz tried to cross the busy highway.
