The elderly Brooklyn woman who was beaten with her own cane by her son has died, officials say.
The New York Daily News reports that Dorothy Farrell, 94, passed away at King's County hospital a week after being attacked by her son, Mark. Back on March 3, Mark Farrell beat his mother inside of their Marine Park apartment, claiming that she told him to do it because she wanted "to be with her dead husband."
Farrell also reportedly covered his mother's face with a pillow to silence her during the attack, which left her with several fractures to her face and skull, as well as two broken ribs and three broken fingers. Farrell, who's being held at Riker's Island, will now be charged with murder.
