Lil Wayne has teamed up with Ubisoft on a new trailer for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

Directed by David Leitch (Hobbs & Shaw and Deadpool 2), the "Squad Up ft. Lil Wayne" campaign is equal parts action-packed and comedic, as they juxtapose the words of the video game characters and those of the people who play them. We see the agents traversing through the island of Aurora, outrunning explosions, dodging bullets, and engaging in hand-to-hand combat. The scene quickly takes a humorous turn, as the characters begin talking to each other through the voices of the gamers at home.

As the team begins to strategize, Weezy pulls up as Lieutenant Colonel Anthony "Nomad" Perryman and completely ignores their stealth plan. He instead shouts his full legal name, "DWAYNE MICHAEL CARTER, JR.," and goes in guns blazing. It's a funny nod to the iconic Leeroy Jenkins video game clip:

"More than anything, the key point of all action is to tell a story. And in this spot, we're telling a story with these characters, not only in the world of the game, but we're telling the story of the characters in the world at home," Leitch explained in a behind-the-scenes video. "You get to see we have fun juxtaposition with the different characters and their voices... but you'll also see sort of a differentiation in their styles from the game and, obviously, their physicality on the couch to their prowess in the game."

You can check out the trailer above. It was developed in collaboration with San Francisco–based agency Argonaut and produced by Minted Content in Los Angeles.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is set to release Oct. 4. An open beta will take place Sept. 26–30 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You can learn more about the game at Ubisoft's official website.
