The First Season of "Agent Carter" Will Only Get Eight Episodes
The first season of ABC’s “Agent Carter” will only get eight episodes.

During an interview with Marvel, Hayley Atwell confirmed that ABC has only ordered eight episodes for the first season of the upcoming comic drama, Agent Carter. This is much shorter than most new shows, which usually get a 13-episode commitment, if not more. This means that Agent Carter might be shown during Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s mid-season break to keep fans invested.
The good news here is that Agent Carter could wind up with eight focused episodes, as opposed to a full season that meanders along, like what happened with S.H.I.E.L.D. at points. And if those eight episodes are strong enough, there is always a chance that the network will order more next season.
