WhatsApp's CEO Jan Koum, the newly minted billionaire, is a little annoyed at Apple's recently announced updates to iOS 8.
Yesterday, Apple pulled the covers off of iOS 8, and showcased new texting features that let users send brief audio and video messages to each other that auto-delete, much like WhatsApp (and Snapchat) before it. Like so:
The similarities are obvious, but shouldn't be entirely surprising. But Koum took to Twitter—and not Facebook—to send a slight jab over to Apple:
He shouldn't be mad, though — it's not like almost EVERY texting app today hasn't borrowed something from BlackBerry's BBM.
