Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released for the Nintendo 3DS on November 21. News released by the Pokémon Company International last night will have you wishing the drop date was sooner. According to the company, the upcoming remakes of 2002's Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire will feature customizable "Secret Bases". Photographs of these Bases are provided above.

An email from the company's PR team provides full details:

Players will be able to share their Secret Base with other Trainers around the world using StreetPass functionality, or they can create a QR Code for their unique Secret Base, enabling friends to visit it with ease. When visiting other Secret Bases, players can meet other Trainers in the same base and invite them back to their own Secret Base as Secret Pals.

Essentially, you're getting a sick crib. Thankfully, this isn't just an opportunity to jam-pack the game with useless collectibles and garbage either. These Bases will have an actual impact on your gameplay experience, and will provide an exciting venue for multiplayer modes. After all, if you're having company over, you always want to make sure that your place looks good, right?
