Marilyn Mosby, the Baltimore State Attorney who charged police officers for the murder of Freddie Gray this month, apparently has a long history of being a badass. One example: taking down the man who trashed her apartment, in an episode of Judge Judy that reportedly aired in 2000.

Mosby, who went by Marilyn James at the time, was a college student at Tuskegee University, when she came back from spring break to find that someone had broken in and thrown a party in her apartment. In the episode from Judge Judy's fifth season, she calmly but deftly made the case that the man who ran a cigar shop below her apartment was responsible. The guy didn't stand a chance.

Judge Judy actually awarded her the money necessary to clean her apartment—$1731.90—which is crazy, not because Mosby won the case, but because now we know it's true: the people on the show are real.

Neither Mosby nor her office has officially confirmed that it is her in the video—but Mosby did favorite a tweet from earlier this month about the episode. We see you, Mosby.
