A photo allegedly showing the inside of a police van has sparked an internal investigation by the Baltimore Police Department, Baltimore news station WBAL reports.

The photo shows what appears to be a door left open on a police van with a sign on the inside reading "ENJOY YOUR RIDE, CUZ WE SURE WILL!"

It seems pretty unprofessional for any police department to taunt prisoners (who are assumed innocent until proven guilty in this country) like that, but it's especially f'd up in the wake of the death of Freddie Gray, who died after being shackled and transported in the back of Baltimore police van earlier this year.

Six officers have been charged in Gray's death.

WBAL reported that the photos were taken Tuesday near the Central District Police Station, though CNN reports that Baltimore police have been unable to verify their authenticity, but are looking into it.

The police department responded to the photos, calling the sign "unacceptable."

"The nature and the posting of the wording is both concerning and unacceptable," Baltimore City Police Sgt. Jarron Jackson said in a public statement.
