Anwan Glover (above, left) who co-starred on the HBO crime series The Wire, was stabbed inside a nightclub in Washington D.C. early Sunday morning, theBaltimore Sun reports.
Around 2 a.m., a man went up to Glover in Cafe Asia, a club in the northwest part of the city, and hit him several times, knocking Glover to the floor before stabbing him in the torso.
Glover was taken to a nearby hospital and released with non-life threatening injuries.
Glover played Slim Charles for three seasons on The Wire, which was set in Baltimore. His character was a soldier in the Barksdale drug crew, who by the final season had moved up to become a top lieutenant for kingpin Prop Joe.
Glover, a D.C. native and musician, is something of a local legend in the city's go-go music scene. He also told the Washington Post in a 2007 interview that he'd been shot 13 times in the past.
Glover has also appeared on the HBO series Treme and in the film 12 Years a Slave.
