UPDATED 10/8, 2:45 p.m. ET: Anonymous production sources on SNL have reportedly told TMZ that Dave Chappelle, Michelle Wolf, Ellen DeGeneres, Amy Schumer, and James Corden are all helping Kim K prepare for her upcoming hosting gig this Saturday. The comics/talk show hosts are reportedly helping Kim craft her monologue, and nail comic delivery on a few of her bits. This will be the first time that Kim has ever hosted SNL.
In a promo for the episode, Kim asks Cecily Strong if she’ll need to write any sketches, to which Halsey, this week’s musical guest, points out that “they’re on cue cards.”
“Everyone else won’t look as good as me, will they?” says Kim, to which Strong replies, “Absolutely not.” Kardashian closes out by saying that means hosting will be “so easy.” Check out the promo below.

Set to make her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live this weekend, Kim Kardashian is reportedly getting some advice from estranged husband Kanye West on how to prepare for the gig.
Page Six reports Kim and Kanye are both staying in New York City as Kardashian prepares for Saturday’s show. The news arrives several months after Kardashian and West officially announced their separation in February, after nearly seven years of marriage.
“Kim is nervous about hosting ‘SNL,’” an unnamed source told the gossip outlet. “Kanye is quietly advising her on her performance, her opening monologue, even her costumes for the show.”
Meanwhile, another source spoke with People about how Kim’s feeling leading up to her performance: “She’s both nervous and thrilled,” the source said. “It’s a huge deal for her. She takes the hosting gig very seriously.”
While ‘Ye hasn’t hosted the NBC sketch show, he’s been SNL’s musical guest several times. Kanye’s most recent appearance came in September 2018, when he returned to the stage as the season opener’s musical guest before he was rumored to drop his now-shelved album Yandhi.
After performing “I Love It,” with Lil Pump, Kanye ended the episode with a rant about Donald Trump, the Sunken Place, and potentially running for president in 2020.
