Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena got engaged last year, and during a recent interview with Hot 97, the pair got into some dangerous territory when the topic of Safaree's ex Nicki Minaj popped up. In comments that'll surely invoke the wrath of Barbz everywhere, Mena was dismissive of Minaj.

Speaking with Nessa of Hot 97, Mena said, "Honestly I grew up on Lil Kim so heavy, when that came out I was like, 'Ugh, she's biting my girl.'" From there she added that she wasn't a fan, regardless of the connection to her fiancée. "Nicki's still great," Nessa chimed in. "She is," Mena responded, "I've just never been drawn to it. I just feel like it was always just cartoony and stuff."

Softening the blow just a bit, she added, "She's great at what she does, but personally? I mean, you're in the club and you're nice already, but I don't know the words." The clip in question was picked out by The Shade Room and can be seen below.

As expected, it did not take long for the Barbz to start their social media attacks on Mena. Old tweets of her praising Nicki Minaj and quoting her lyrics were quickly brought up, while her mentions on both Instagram and Twitter have already turned into a mess.
