In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, 50 Cent discussed his experience directing the latest episode of Starzâs BMF, which sees Eminem make a cameo as the infamous FBI informant White Boy Rick.
âWhen Eminem found out I was directing, he committed to do it, and working together was natural,â 50 Cent said. âIt was an honor to have him on the show and it made this episode extra special.â
The hip-hop mogul went on to share the process behind de-aging the 49-year-old rapper to make him look more like the teenage informant.Â
âThe technology that they used to de-age him was the same thing they used in The Irishman,â Fif explained. âEm actually has a beard, so they first took the hair out of his face using the technology, and then they de-aged him all the way down.â
Leading up to Sundayâs episode, 50 Cent called out Starz after the network accidentally aired episode 7 last week.
âStarz is a shit show, they better sell it fast,â he wrote on Twitter. âThey put the fucking BMF show on, then took it down. what network does shit like that? They just ruined the anticipation of The episode i directed, I WORKED HARD ON THIS. I canât work with these people anymore.â
Fif continued, âEpisode 7 of BMF is the best work i have done directing to date. Iâm disappointed that STARZ handled this so poorly. I used my personal relationships to make things happen they couldnât have made happen. @eminem thank you for doing this for me. I love you bro.â
