Gerard Piqué is looking to move on from his previous relationship with Shakira.
On his Instagram page, Piqué posted a photo getting close with his girlfriend Clara Chia Marti. Marti is 23 and Piqué is 35. Although there’s a little age difference, they don’t seem to have an issue with it. In fact, this post marks the first time Marti appears on his page.
It would mean Piqué is trying to go forward with his life after the recent publicity surrounding Shakira’s collaboration with Argentine DJ Bizarrap titled, “BZRP Music Session #53.” In the song, Shakira allegedly addresses this relationship in lyrics translated from Spanish to English.
“I wish you good luck with my supposed replacement / I don’t even know what happened to you,” she sings. “You are so strange that I can’t even distinguish you / I’m worth two of 22 [year old] / You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo / You traded a Rolex for a Casio.”
Piqué and Shakira announced their breakup in a joint statement in June 2022, more than 11 years after they first confirmed their relationship.
“We regret to confirm that we are separating,” they said at the time. “We ask for privacy at this moment for the well-being of our children, who are our maximum priority. Thank you in advance for your understanding and respect.”
Piqué and Shakira share two sons: Milan, 10, and Sasha, 7.
