UPDATED 5/4, 7:15 p.m. ET: Shortly after news of Disick's rehab stay was made public, TMZ reported that he has now left the facility and has plans to sue.

He had been at the All Points North Lodge in Edwards, Colorado since Tuesday. His lawyer says that the stay was related to grieving over the deaths of his parents, and that it had nothing to do with alcohol or cocaine (which were the specific substances cited by several news websites).

Disick's lawyer, Marty Singer, declined the initial report in comments to TMZ. According to his version of events, Disick had reportedly been quarantining in Los Angeles, and the extended time to reflect made him realize he hadn't properly grieved his parents.

"In an effort to finally come to terms and deal with the pain that Scott has been silently suffering for many years due to the sudden death of his mother, followed by the death of his father 3 months later, Scott made the decision to check himself into a rehab facility last week to work on his past traumas," Singer said.

After vacating the facility he's heading back to Los Angeles.

TMZ reports that a photo was taken of Disick in the rehab facility, and that "Scott's team" believes it was snapped by a staff member. That would be a violation of a patient's right to privacy, and (if true) would serve as the basis of a currently planned lawsuit.

A source that spoke to that outlet says that the move came at the urging of Kourtney Kardashian, who Disick shares three children with.

"It's true. Scott checked in last week. He had a lot of guidance from Kourtney and she demanded that he get help," that source said. "Things have been bad the last couple of weeks and Kourtney won't allow him around the kids unless he gets treatment."

Disick has had struggles with substance abuse in the past. He previously sought treatment in 2017 after a reported hospitilization
