If not for the coronavirus, Fast & Furious Crossroads and the blockbuster that was supposed to coincide with its release date, Fast & Furious 9would already be out. But "if not for the coronavirus" then a lot of shit would be happening so chalk this extended period up to one of those instances where you say "it is what it is," and then stop thinking about it instead of obsessing over an alternate timeline. It's just not healthy.

That said, both projects haven't come out yet, but it's not like they were completely scrapped. The U.S. release of the film got bumped to April 2, 2021, and the game has been pushed to Aug. 7, 2020.

So much for that tandem release schedule but *Googles more obnoxious cliches* when given lemons, you got to make lemonade.

The announcement of the game's official post-delay release was accompanied by a trailer that gave prospective buyers a chance to see actual gameplay. That footage shows what appears to be several different levels/missions, and also features voice acting from members of the real cast, including Tyrese, Michelle Rodriguez, and Vin Diesel

Push Squareadds that the game will have an "unprecedented three-way multiplayer mode," which doesn't have a lot of details, but modern games need more multiplayer. I'd love to do an old guy rant about that. That will come in addition to a single-player mode.

Reiterating an existing theme, YouTube comments for the trailer were, well, a tad on the harsh side. But I'm a product of video game magazines and, like the writers for those magazines, I see no need to pass judgment based on a preview. Also, unlike the era where you could only see screenshots on a page before a game came out, you currently have the option to watch the trailer for yourself and come to your own conclusion. It's embedded above.

The title is set to be released for PS4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
