Florence Pugh took to Instagram to address the nasty comments and criticism people were leaving under her recent post celebrating her boyfriend Zach Braff's birthday. The Black Widow star said in the post that for the first time, she had to disable the comments function on Braff's birthday post because people were "basically bullying someone on my page," she said.
Most of the criticism of the couple's relationship was directed at the age difference between the two stars, with Braff just turning 45 and Pugh being 24. Pugh went on to defend her relationship with Braff in the Instagram post, saying: "I’ll underline this fact: I am 24 years old," she said. "I do not need you to tell me who I should and should not love, and I would never in my life ever, ever tell anyone who they can and cannot love. It is not your place, and really it has nothing to do with you.”
She added, "The abuse that you throw at him is abuse that you're throwing at me, and I don't want those followers... I don't want that on my page. It's embarrassing, it's sad and I don't know when cyber bullying became trendy."
Pugh's post also get love from other stars as well, with several celebrities including Ariana Grande commenting under the video showing their support.
She closed the video by saying that if anybody disagrees with the things she said, they should just unfollow her. A very helpful piece of advice in general, if you ever find yourself being nasty on social media.
