Sometimes picking the right song for a torture sequence isn't so easy.

The general annoyance of James Corden aside, at least last night's Late Late Show gave us a Reservoir Dogs revisit.

Corden was joined by Steve Buscemi and Tim Roth, two stars of the 1992 Quentin Tarantino classic, for a so-called "bonus scene" that reimagines one of the movie's most famous sequences. While the torture soundtrack "Stuck in the Middle With You" is the song the scene is known for, Corden's skit imagines a scenario in which there was some hesitance and debating about which song to throw on. This set-up sees Corden cycling through bits of "YMCA," "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go," and more.

The Tarantino entry, of course, has once again received renewed attention in recent months due to the release of the director's latest, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The nominations for the 92nd Academy Awards were unveiled earlier this week and saw Tarantino's Hollywood landing in multiple categories including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Original Screenplay, and more. Tarantino was also among the disappointingly all-male nominees for Best Director.

Also this week, Tarantino hinted at the possibility of backing off his originally teased plans to helm an R-rated Star Trek movie. Instead, per Deadline, Tarantino predicts he'll merely offer up some notes on the production should the studio choose to move forward without him.
