Video game-maker Activision has launched a multi-part docuseries that chronicles the lead up to the much-anticipated Call of Duty League tournament.

The new series, dubbed The Campaign, follows the Chicago Huntsmen, owned and operated by NRG. The team's co-CEO Hector Rodriguez stars in The Campaign, alongside starting players Seth "Scump" Abner, Matthew "FormaL" Piper, Peirce "Gunless" Hillman, Alec "Arcitys" Sanderson, and Dylan "Envoy" Hannon, as well as substitute Jordan "General" General.

The Huntsmen will compete against teams from around the world, including OpTic Gaming, which Rodriguez led from 2007 up until summer 2019.

"A lot of eyes are on me right now. They saw what I built with OpTic," Rodriguez said in the first episode. "I sold my team and I could’ve gone off and done my thing somewhere else in a different industry. I could’ve stepped away from eSports and just could’ve done gaming entertainment. But that’s just not us. I wanna prove myself again and again."

You can watch the first episode of The Campaign above as well as episodes two, three, and four below. The series was executive produced by Andrew Vanette, Brendon Schulze, and Carleton Curtis of the Activision Blizzard Esports Programming Team.

The Call of Duty League will go down Jan. 24-26 at The Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Learn more about the event here.
