Baby Yoda makeup line might exist soon.

In the wake of The Mandalorian's massive success, Lucasfilm filed 28 trademarks associated with the series' title and "The Child," aka Baby Yoda. The Blast points out that the Dec. 23 filings were for a broad range of products, including everything from apparel and accessories to non-alcoholic beverages and breakfast cereals to sleeping bags and cosmetics.

Baby Yoda trademark

It's no surprise Lucasfilm, a subsidiary of Disney, would take steps to file trademarks for the wildly popular character. After he made his debut on The Mandalorian, Baby Yoda became a viral sensation and ignited countless memes and a flood of bootleg merch before the holidays.

The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau told the Hollywood Reporter the Disney team held off on Baby Yoda merch to avoid spoilers.

Per the outlet:

It's common for details from spoiler-phobic movies like the Avengers or Star Wars franchises to come out via toy catalogues months ahead of time. So keeping Baby Yoda toys back worked to avoid that reveal coming to light. However, the downside would seem to be bootleggers are running wild. That is, until they receive a cease and desist letter from Disney.

Since then, Disney has confirmed the release of the Child plush toy; however, the adorable item will not hit shelves until March.

Disney CEO Bob Iger spoke about Baby Yoda's popularity during a premiere event for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

"Well, look, the scale of the reaction is probably beyond my expectations by a wide margin," he told THR. "That said, the moment I laid eyes on the character, I had a strong feeling the character was going to connect with audiences. It's just so cute, so interesting, so compelling, in many respects so familiar and yet so new."
