Earlier this year, John Legend's voice graced Google Assistant in a limited capacity, and now Issa Rae is making a cameo, too.

Issa Rae's voice in Google Assistant will be able to read the weather, news, and tell jokes. She will also offer what Google promises are "motivational messages." Users will be able to access a number of unique easter eggs upon selecting Issa Rae's voice, which can be done by either changing the voice in assistant settings or by saying, "Hey Google, talk like Issa."

Among the questions that will illicit easter eggs are, "Do I need an umbrella today?" and "Tell me a secret." Her voice will be available on any device that has Google Assistant, such as Google Home and Smart Display devices. As with John Legend's voice on Google Assistant, speech synthesis technology WaveNet helps bring it to life.

Issa Rae's voice is available for a limited time in the U.S. starting today. While she'll be appearing on Google Home units across the country, fans of Insecure will have to wait a bit longer until they get to see her on screens again. Earleir this year, she confirmed Season 4 of Insecure won't air on HBO until 2020. Before it premieres, however, she will star in two romantic comedies due next year: The Photograph and The Lovebirds.

Just last month, Amazon announced that its first celebrity voice option for Alexa would be none other than Samuel L. Jackson.
