Fans of The Shining—a masterfully frightening film from Stanley Kubrick that was adapted from a Stephen King novel of the same name—should be on board from November's Doctor Sleep, which is based on a novel of the same name that's the sequel to The Shining. Mike Flanagan, who brought us The Haunting of Hill House, is at the helm, with Ewan McGregor playing an adult Danny Torrance. We're also introduced to Abra Stone (played by Kyliegh Curran in her film debut), a young girl who also has "the shining," although her powers much different than what we've seen from this series.
In the above exclusive clip, we get to see just how powerful Abra is, as she's able to spy in on a van full of baddies who are on their way to make some trouble. It's a dope way to highlight just how insane an ability like "the shining" can be, adding layers to an already-intoxicating tale.
