Square Enix's highly-anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake is just months away, and to make the wait even more excruciating the developer and publisher has shared another action-packed trailer. While there's plenty of gameplay on display in the latest look at the game, the new trailer also gives fans their first look at Reno, Rude, and Tseng's new looks. A fast-paced mixture of story moments and some suitably beefed-up fighting, the FFVII preview comes as Tokyo Game Show kicks off.
Final Fantasy VII is often regarded as one of the best games of all-time, and remains a favorite among the Final Fantasy community to this day. The game launched in 1997 for the original PlayStation, before receiving Windows, iOS, PS4, Android, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One ports far later down the line. The FF7 Remake on the other hand, remains a PlayStation 4 exclusive for the meantime.
It is worth mentioning, however, that the development team behind the remake have decided to split the game into multiple parts. While the original 1997 PlayStation release of the game was a complete package, the story of the FF7 Remake will be expanded upon and nothing from the original will be cut. Due to the scale of remaking the lengthy original with more advanced and modern technology, Square Enix plans to release a follow-up or two in the future.
The Final Fantasy VII Remake will finally be available on Mar. 3, 2020 for PlayStation 4.
