There isn't a better opportunity for your parents to embarrass you than on your birthday party. This is exactly what happened when Will Smith hosted Jaden's 21st birthday by telling various stories and dishing out useful life tips.
Like almost everything he does, Will Smith had his personal camera crew document Jaden's celebration. He was then kind enough to share this moment on his YouTube channel. In the video, Smith goes full dad mode by getting drunk before the party had even hit its peak which sparked some hilarious commentary. First, Will confessed to Jaden that he had little to do with his son's success.
"Most of the decisions that developed you were your mother. ‘Cause I was at work! I wasn’t home," Smith joked. "Your mother did most of the work! I’m not goin' front!" Will continued to take full reign of the gathering by sharing with Jaden and his friends how to evade jail time.
"So I'm going to tell you something my father told me on my 21st birthday," Smith said as he toasted his first legal drink with his son. "Never break two laws at one time. Because you increase your chances exponentially of getting caught for both."
But after giving his son a healthy dose of dad-isms, Will showered Jaden with admiration and respect for the man he's become.
"I'm really proud of you," Smith closed. "Just the way you've grown in the last few years is what parents hope for. You take it seriously to contribute to the human family. You just make us proud every single day."
