Sony has just unveiled the first trailer for A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, which stars Tom Hanks as Fred Rogers, the beloved host behind the educational show Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. Just like the award-winning Rogers documentary Won't You Be My Neighbor?, which released last year, the movie looks to depict just how much Rogers embodied his kind onscreen persona.

The biopic is directed by Marielle Heller and is set to follow a journalist played by Matthew Rhys as he profiles Rogers in the latter days of his career. Beautiful Day also stars Chris Cooper, Susan Kelechi Watson, Enrico Colantoni, and Maryann Plunkett among others. Heller previously directed Can You Ever Forgive Me?, which received three nods at the Academy Awards earlier this year.

Fresh off his appearance as Woody in Toy Story 4, Hanks has two other films due for release next year. First he's got the Aaron Schneider-directed war drama Greyhound, which he also wrote and is producing. After that he'll appear as the lead in Miguel Sapochnik's Bios, which sees Hanks portray an inventor who is one of the last men on Earth. Hanks is also attached to play Elvis Presley's notorious manager in Baz Luhrmann's Elvis biopic, which just recently found its lead in Austin Butler.

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood hits theaters on Nov. 22. Check out the trailer above.
