Maddeningly, experts have yet to determine who we can blame for the existence of "Bawitdaba."

Kid Rock, perhaps best known for releasing things that could tangentially be categorized as music, was apparently so weirdly pissed about the Sacha Baron Cohen classic Borat! Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan that he decided to end a marriage.

The marriage in question, of course, is Mr. Kid's succinct union with in-on-the-joke Borat participator Pamela Anderson. Anderson's presence in the film, particularly the infamous bookstore scene, is said to have promptly inspired him to dive into the joys of divorce.

That's the word straight from the classic's star and creator, who confirmed this turn of events in a new interview with The Last Laugh podcast.

"The first time we did it at a book signing and I grabbed her over my shoulder and ran out with her and no one did anything," he said of nailing down a pivotal moment in the staged Anderson narrative. "I was like, what kind of fans are these? So we did it again and they started running after me."

As for Anderson's relationship with Mr. Kid, Cohen said he texted Anderson following an allegedly contentious screening in which the guy who once burdened us with "Bawitdaba" was said to have berated her.

"How did it go? What did he think?" Cohen texted, later getting a follow-up message from Anderson in which she credited "the movie" as the reason they were then moving into divorce proceedings.

"I think they were a fantastic couple, so it's a shame," Cohen joked, perThe Daily Beast. "Much better than Julian Assange or whoever she dated later on."
