UPDATE 6/3/19: As reported by The Huffington Post over the weekend, the lazily aggregated source that started all this nonsense was apparently not even real. In a firmly worded statement, a Keanu rep confirmed the duping:
This interview did not happen. This was pieced together from several interviews and the majority of these questions were not asked nor answered. They are fabricated.
See original article below, though that's certainly not recommended.
"Lonely guy" Keanu Reeves has, presumably much to his general disinterest, once again landed himself a meme through no fault of his own.
In a Jakarta Post interview that was later cited in an aggressively brilliant article, Reeves let loose some candor when asked to define this whole "love" ordeal. While he didn't provide a personal definition for the feeling some might argue should be reserved solely for John Wick x horse memes, he did provide a bit of immediately popularized insight on his day-to-day vibes.
"You know, I'm the lonely guy," Reeves, in an article literally titled "Keanu Reeves Says He Is a Lonely Guy," said. "I don't have anyone in my life. But if it does occur, I would respect and love the other person; hopefully it'll happen for me." Later, when asked a rather dumb follow-up question about whether he's "content with" that "lonely guy' status, Reeves continued dropping calmly delivered wisdom.
"I don't concern myself with it that much," he said. "I'm an actor, so in terms of what you're asking about, I have no answer."
Predictably, those comments were all it took for a swarm of companionship offers from fans and general strangers to start piling up. One might find some value in perusing a few uncarefully selected examples of that practice below, or you could skip all that and instead watch Keanu talk about motorcycles for 11 minutes in the video above. Your call.
