Ghost gets no respect.
*Spoilers for Season 8, Episode 5 of Game of Thrones*
As fans have been pointing out since the latest Season 8 entry of Game of Thrones aired Sunday night, the beloved direwolf pup received an objectively shitty goodbye from a certain Jon Snow. Instead of breaking down into an understandable marathon of tears, or at least giving Ghost a proper sendoff hug, Snow instead decided his loyal friend belonged "in the North" and sent him off with Tormund and company—north of the Wall, that is—with barely any acknowledgment of the moment's obvious gravity:
"You've got the North in you, the real North," Tormund tells Snow, who expresses reluctance at not being able to join him on the journey. Still, Ghost receives no such similar moment of emotional finality, despite his abject awesomeness.
To amend this grave error, fans have stepped in with digital well wishes for the arguable goodest boy.
In the same episode, the perplexing presence of what appears to be modern coffee in a modern container was also spotted.
Previous odd editing decisions have resulted in the inclusion of Ed Sheeran and Chris Stapleton, though both were notably sans era-inappropriate coffee for their respective roles.
