Game of Thrones is coming to an end, and fans, both famous and very much not, are celebrating the series in a myriad of ways.

*Game of Thrones spoilers ahead*

In the penultimate episode of Game of Thrones, viewers found themselves panicked as King's Landing rose up in flames. One of the innocent bystanders running from the wrath of Dany's fire-breathing dragon was Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who made a cameo on Sunday night.

The football star portrayed a soldier in the Golden Company army, the mercenary force ordered to protect Cersei Lannister. Although his appearance on the show does feel slightly random, Rodgers has been a major stan of the series for quite some time—queue his promo video—and has been using his social media channels to hint at the GoT cameo.

Sunday, the quarterback's longtime team took to Twitter to signal Rodgers' appearance was imminent. The Green Bay Packers' account posted a video of Rodgers atop the Iron Throne with the caption, "So what's everyone watching tonight?"

While attending the Kentucky Derby, Rodgers also gave reporters some insight into which GoT episode he would be making his appearance. When a journalist asked him whether he'd be making any television or film cameos, the quarterback quickly said "Episode 5, Game of Thrones," before walking away.

The final episode of Game of Thrones will air on HBO on Sunday, May 19.
