Avengers: Endgame tickets went on pre-sale Tuesday and caused complete anarchy. While trying to purchase advance tickets, many fans were forced to wait in a queue, and in some cases, ticketing sites crashed.

Within six hours it broke the record for most pre-sales in a 24-hour period, set by Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015.

THIS JUST IN: Not only did #AvengersEndgame become the biggest pre-sale title ever in the first 24 hours, but it accomplished this feat in only six hours. A groundbreaking and historic accomplishment. https://t.co/k2Dahcl0pB

Marvel made the announcement via Twitter on Tuesday morning that tickets were available and also dropped a new trailer featuring Thanos. Picking up where Avengers: Infinity War left off, Endgame is expected to wrap this phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe by ending the stories of many of the original Avengers characters; whether that means they die or move on in some fashion remains to be seen.

Scheduled for an April 26 release in the U.S., Endgame has the opportunity to break the worldwide record for an opening weekend, and could surpass the series’ own record for single biggest take at the global box office on an opening weekend.
