HQ Trivia's Scott Rogowsky explained his decision to step away from the ultra-popular trivia app. The host, known affectionately as Quiz Daddy, is leaving for a new baseball show on upstart sports network DAZN. He explained on Twitter that he attempted to stay on at HQ Trivia, but couldn't make it work.

A MESSAGE TO MY HQTIES - About three weeks ago, I announced that I had taken a new job hosting a new, live “whip-around” baseball show called ChangeUp on @DAZN_USA. As a lifelong baseball fan, it was a dream opportunity that I simply couldn’t pass up. (1/5)

Sadly, it won’t be possible for me to continue hosting HQ concurrently as I had hoped, and because I wasn’t given the courtesy of a farewell show, please allow me to use this thread to say all the things I would have said on my final broadcast. (2/5)

Rogowsky used the sign-off to thank HQ Trivia fans for watching him.

"Nothing made be prouder than watching the viewer count grow from 2 digits to 2 commas," he wrote. "Thank you for the outpouring of kind tweets and messages. I shall humbly remain your Quiz Daddy Emeritus, and I look forward to gettin down to the nitty-gritty and gettin this new show #ChangeUp on the road."

It took a surprisingly small team of superhumanly talented people to get HQ off the ground, and it took all of you quizzing with me night after night to shoot it into the stratosphere. Nothing made be prouder than watching the viewer count grow from 2 digits to 2 commas. (3/5)

Quiz Daddy is far from the new network's biggest acquisition. They signed Mexican boxer Canelo Alvarez to a $365 million deal for 11 marquee fights
